At Gaucho’s Brazilian Steakhouse, guests are immersed in a heritage started long ago in the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil.
Amid the relaxing, intimate atmosphere, Gaucho’s servers roam from table to table with skewers of slow-roasted meats that are cooked over an open mesquite-flame. These delicacies are carved tableside, creating a bountiful feast and a unique dining experience.
We feature an all-you-care-to-eat selection of (12) grilled meats that include: Top Sirloin, Picanha (Brazilian House Sirloin) Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Wrapped in Bacon, Pork Tenderloin, Pork Parmesan, Filet Wrapped in Bacon, Brazilian Beef Tender, Turkey, Lamb, and the Chef's Choice.
All of which are slow cooked over an open pit wood mesquite fire and served in the gaucho tradition -- the freshest quality meat and few condiments to draw out the natural flavors.
At Gaucho’s Brazilian Steakhouse, guests are treated to a (35) item gourmet salad bar that includes a wide variety: mixed greens, assorted veggies, (green, red, & yellow peppers), red onion, hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, green/black olives, bowtie pasta, seafood salad, chicken salad, potato salad, egg salad, egg salad, smoked salmon, crab meat, fresh fruit medley, fresh sliced watermelon, pineapple, assorted cheeses, sliced salami, asparagus, and much more.
In addition, your meal also includes garlic mashed potatoes, South American cheese bread, and guests are treated to warm carmelized bananas as a palette cleanser between meats. In the Brazilian custom, guests are provided the famous two-sided coaster to signify their preferences.
Serving Northwest Indiana and Chicago If the coaster is on green it means go, on red it means no. With traditional flair, the gauchos slice portions from skewers of our “Feast of Meats.” For that extra special dining experience, Gaucho’s also offers a nightly “Seafood Feast” that includes Crab Legs, Fried Shrimp, Sauteed Shrimp, Perch, Tilapia, and the Catch of the Day! As is customary, guests can have as little or as much as they want.

While we keep it authentic and traditional here at Gaucho’s, we understand the desires of our many guests. As such, we offer almost all of our food a la carte, for our customers with varied eating preferences – a benefit not found at other Brazilian Steakhouses.
